Meet Addy!

    Our new read aloud our class is reading is Meet Addy by Connie Porter. It is the first book in a series about a young girl who escapes slavery to find freedom. The students LOVE the book, and it has led to many discussions about the hardships many people faced back in the 1800s. This is a picture of the American girl doll Addy who is now part of our classroom, along with our friend SkippyJon Jones!
