Our November Pilgrim Simulation unit was a huge success! The students not only learned a lot of information about the pilgrims in 1620, but they also learned a lot about cooperation and immersion as pilgrims in a new land! By the end of the unit, students had formed a peace treaty with the Native Americans, planted "crops", built a colony, and formed rules in a Mayflower Compact.
