Who Will Be Tomorrow's Mystery Student?
Our student teacher Miss Justice shared a wonderful idea this week that will give kids an opportunity to be the "Mystery Student" in the classroom. Students are selected on listening skills, being cooperative and helpful, and trying their best. A new student is selected each day, and the Mystery Student has his or her own desk area to work at for the entire day! We hope to run this throughout the year!

Peter Reynolds Activities
Author Peter Reynolds will be visiting Johnny Appleseed School next week. Today students worked on some projects after reading several of his books. One of the projects, based on the book Ish, involved having students create pumpkins and then make "ish" words to describe their creations. The pumpkins are currently hanging in our hallway. Another activity was a STEM based project in which students worked in teams to create a tower for Vashti to live in. Here are some pictures from both activities:
